Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP)

These machines are incredibly versatile and very dangerous if operated incorrectly. WEAR A HARNESS! What happens if you fall out with a harness? How long can you survive just hanging there? What if the machine shuts down when you’re 75ft above the concrete? That’s a bad time to figure out what to do. We are happy to help you answer these questions and to provide quality equipment training to you and your team!

Forklift Training

Forklifts, or Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs) as OSHA refers to them, are among the most commonly used equipment in the construction and industrial sectors. From standard warehouse and industrial forklifts to construction telehandlers, these machines are vital in the building of American industry. Unfortunately, because they are so common, they are often taken for granted regarding quality safety training. OSHA requires that Powered Industrial Truck operators be evaluated every three years to ensure operator competency. Let us partner with your team to ensure that your operators are up to date on current standards and competent in their abilities to operate forklifts!

Earthmoving Equipment

Backhoes, excavators, skid steer loaders, and other earthmoving equipment are vital in the construction industry. While these types of equipment can be fun to operate, they can also be exceedingly dangerous. Do your operators know how to conduct proper prestart and workplace exams prior to beginning excavations? How about trench boxes and spoil piles? Do they understand when to call 811 or what to do if they hit a powerline? Let our team train your operators on these and other important topics to ensure that you can get your job in a safe and efficient manner!

Train the Trainer

Would you like to become a Forklift or MEWP Trainer for your company? Look no further than Bowen Arrow! Our trainers are incredibly engaging, experienced, and subject matter experts. Unlike many traditional TTT courses that focus only on one brand, our training is tailored to cover the multitude of different manufacturers so that our students gain a breadth of knowledge that is invaluable in the industry. You will learn how to not only operate equipment, but will also learn how to conduct classes, document training, and evaluate operators.

OSHA 10

Ten hours of training in subjects ranging from Fall Protection and Electrical Hazards to Machine Guarding and Bloodborne Pathogens. All OSHA 10 courses cover essentially the same topics. So, why Bowen Arrow? Just listen to our friend, Les, of Hollingsworth and Vose Inc. “I can’t say enough about Bowen Arrow Safety and their training services. They are some of the most engaging and relatable trainers that I have ever encountered. Our OSHA 10-hour class went so well that we decided to move on to OSHA 30-hour.”

OSHA 30

Leadership and Safety – Safety and Leadership. We’ve never heard a supervisor say, “I just don’t care about safety.” To the contrary, we often hear, “Safety is our top priority here.” But as we know to be the case, saying something and doing something are entirely two different things. Leaders with little regard for safety aren’t leaders – they’re managers. In our OSHA 30 course, we drill into mid and upper-level management because we know full well the importance of leadership in the workplace – when leadership fails, workers die. Ignored behavior is condoned behavior.

“They have perfected the concept of training while integrating leadership and fun into what would be an otherwise dull and painful class. They absolutely keep everyone engaged and interested in the material. I highly recommend Bowen Arrow Safety…” – Benji Hook, Sr VP of Operations NaturChem, Inc.

MSHA

The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) requires that all miners, surface or underground, attend a mandatory 24-hour new miner training course prior to beginning work at a mine site. They also require all miners to attend an 8-hour annual refresher course to ensure that the workers stay up to date on all safety topics that apply to their specific job duties. Bowen Arrow Safety has partnered with some of the largest mine companies in the United States and would love to work with your company as well!
